Applesauce Cake from Grandma Pepping

Cream shortening and sugar, add eggs and beat. Combine dry ingredients and add to cream mixture, alternating with applesauce. Then add raisins, mixing gently. Flour and grease a 9 x 13" pan. Cook in 350 degree oven for 45-60 minutes. Let it cool and use butter cream frosting.
