Oven Roasted Brussel Sprouts with Chestnuts and Shallots

2 Tbsp butter
2 shallots, sliced
1 lb brussel sprouts, ends trimmed and halved
1/2 c chestnuts, quartered
1-2 Tbsp maple syrup
Salt and pepper to taste
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Heat a saute pan over medium high heat and add the butter. Once the butter has melted add the shallots and brussel sprouts to the pan and toss to lightly caramelize. Transfer the pan to the oven and roast until the brussel sprouts are tender (6-7 minute). Toss through the chestnuts and maple syrup and roast for additional 2 minutes. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Serve warm.
