A little background
My Mom was a hair dresser and all our life we've gone to her for haircuts. Well at least my sister and I did. My sister and I always joke about getting the Elaine special. No matter what we asked for in a hairdo, our Mom always gave us the same do. The best part about it was that it always looked great.

About this piece
This little drawing was the beginning of a pattern I was making for a fiber arts class. The task was to start with something and build it into a pattern. I got a little obsessed with hair, and the hairdos around me that affect me so much. This is a hand drawing that was then scanned into Photoshop and used to generate a pattern that was later screen printed.
